Bright FuturesIn an exciting partnership with Texas Wesleyan University, the Fort Worth Police Department, and TEAM Fort Worth, the Safe City Commission is developing an innovative gang and youth violence prevention program. The program, designed for youth who are at the greatest risk for future gang membership, involves two phases. First, participants will go through the STOP program where they will learn, in practical and stark terms, the harsh consequences of gang membership. The second phase, designed to provide participants with the tools they need to succeed in life, focuses on academics, enrichment activities and life skills. |
